Also, the heritage of national minorities: the Polish Jews, the Gypsies, the mountaineers, the Lemkos, and the Nowy Sącz Lachs, whose infuence can be seen in the architecture, music, literature, and cuisine, is carefully cultivated. Traces of the past are revealed by cultural routes (over 50). The best known ones include: the Trail of Wooden Architecture, the Trail of the Eagles’ Nests, the Renaissance Route, the Traditional Craft Route, and the Lemko Churches Route. Par ticularly notewor thy are the Pope paths, including mountain and kayaking trails, where the priest Karol Wojtyła , later Pope John Paul II, was walking. The enthusiasts of peaceful cultural experience can visit the museum collections of the Małopolska Region: from the National Museum and the Royal Wawel Castle, through the Museum of Aviation, the Museum of Urban Engineering, The Museum of Pharmacy, and the Sądecki Ethnographic Park, to the souvenirs of the Polish mountains in the Tatra Museum in Zakopane. On a map of active leisure Kraków holds a distinguished place. A network of hiking trails and spor ts grounds, such as a kayaking track on the Vistula River, is developing very well, and a stone pit of Zakrzówek hosts divers from all over Poland.
