Wieża widokowa Jaworz Kretówka
Lookout tower Jaworz Kretówka
The Łososiński range rises in the eastern part of the Beskid Wyspowy, bordering the Dunajec valley and the Rożnowski and Czchowski dam reservoirs. From the north we meet the smaller range of Łopusz and Kobyła. From the south, the national road 28 runs from Nowy Sącz to Limanowa, which welcomes the south-western slopes of Miejska Góra.
The farmland covers almost the entire Jaworz mountain, with only the top of Jaworz being forested. Here a 20 metres tall lookout tower was erected, providing a beautiful view of Lake Rożnow, Nowy Sącz, Beskid Niski, Beskid Sądecki and even Pieniny and Tatras during good weather. Beside the tower there is a campsite, a roofed barbecue and a shed, which provides ideal conditions for a family camp in a beautiful picturesque environment.
The most popular route to the lookout tower is the blue trail from Limanowa, which takes about 3 hours.
There is also a much shorter option, which provides for reaching the end of the asphalt road, leaving the car there and walking for 20 minutes.
